Can you see our GT42R black car running a stock appearing intake manifold?! haha
OK I have a clean stock manifold off of the car now, where\who do I send it to? You can PM me for details if possible.

Thanks David, VWJeff, and 9sec9 for your support. This is just a rough test mule to gain info for the next generation of manifolds and is based on 9sec9's Baby Bish engine combo. This is still a work in progress. Thanks all, and we hope to have results soon. Indy

I guess I should keep my extra intake manifold for a while to see how this goes...

I understand your enthusiasm...well, I don't as I have absolutely nothing to work with, but I can imagine.

But if ANYBODY else made a thread like this, oh man! There would be some serious shop slandering going on by some of those currently involved in this (possible) hype for making huge claims with no factual data.

Know what I mean?

I completely understand. On the other hand, I think that any shop, regardless of who it is, should be able to make enthusiastic posts without being shot by another vendor. This allows for ideas among the average posters to flow and be formulated. Imagine if an idea is shot down before complete development, how that could influence the continuance of the developement. In the final outcome, the posts must live or die based on the FINAL results, not the early enthusiasm. There is a difference between educated enthusiasm and hype. I don't think that this would even remotely fall into the hype category.

03whitegsr, your response is very well meaning and well taken. I think as more of us learn about IndyEvo's abilities and connections, we're all going to be thankful for having another EVO parts developer among us.

One final thought, sorry for the back to back posts, I'm bad about that. If we see even a reasonable gain from what has been done, it has been well worth the learning process. What we have known and done to stock manifolds in the past will have moved forward to at least a higher level. What is standard for today could become so-so for tomorrow. Moving forward is the goal.

What if I already had a Buschur ported intake manifold that I had never installed. Could you do the same mods to it? Or do you need a virgin stocker?

Yes, any of our ported stock intakes will be able to be further modified to this level.

I couldn't agree more on both cases. I really don't mean to question the work being done or to shoot down enthusiasm but merely question some of the tactics used around here. Lots of vendors strike out against other vendors and then turn around and do the exact same thing that they just got done *****ing about. I say that knowing full well that I do the same, however, currently I am a curious potential customer and not another vendor.

I'll fully agree that Indy Evo likely packs with him a ton of knowledge, but even more importantly, ambition to succeed. In the brief time he's been here, he's brought with him several "new" innovations to the EVO. His continued involvement can take EVOs no where but up.

Actually, sorry to derail this topic even further, but Indy Evo, who are you? I thought I had seen some references to some import racing teams as well as more professional levels of racing? I can take this to PMs if preferred, but I would imagine a few others may be interested in his backgorund as well.

There is a place for everyone here. This started off as a hobby just building parts for myself and has become much more than I expected. Thank you David for your friendship, mutual respect, and taking the time to test this manifold and the other components I have made. Indy
I wish everybody has this attitude.

I get caught up in all that shop BS just because I get sick of all the politics that go on in this hobby.

indy, don't mention it. Working with you has been very rewarding. A guy like me doesn't get chances to meet people like you that often, not that are willing to work with a small shop anyway. I appreciate your help, input, innovation.

Looking forward to meeting you today!!

Yeah IndyEvo, who the hell are you? I've never met him, never talked to him, never seen a picture of him. In this case, a man is known by his accomplishments. Those accomplishments in such a short time speak volumes about the man. IndyEvo, see if you can DBurr DB while you're there.
