What turbo with stock mani. ???

I have a quick question for you guys. it's a newb question:

What turbos fit our stock manifolds?

I'm in the market for more power and was thinking of running a stock ported/coated mani. with an aftermarket turbo. What do you guys think? My goal RIGHT NOW! are 11's. hopefully mid to low 11's. With my mods in my sig i ran a 12.40. I was thinking maybe a 50trim? or should i just run a ix 20g? i'm not trying to spend more than 1500 on everything. turbo/mani/etc.

there's a couple kits in the classifieds that were interesting. i saw an RNR 50trim kit and a 35r kit for like 1800 bucks.

thanks in advance for everyone's help. i appreciate it

Dan B. ran in the 11's here in vegas with a stock evo 9 turbo with his 2006 RS...and with about the same mods you have. Stock injectors i belive also.

and no its not his 9 sec evo.

In vegas we are at a D.A. of around 3000-6000 feet...so back east you should have better luck.

With a 20g9-5 probably 415-430 whp at 30psi would be a solid number. A green will make around 450whp at 30-33psi with ALL the boltons. The hta green should hopefully out spool both of those and would be great on the stock manifold. The tubos can handle it, question is how long. I've been fine for 2 years now..

youre only option for an aftermarket turbo using the stock manifold would be an ATP turbo kit; it's out of your budget from what you listed and only a handful of people have been able to make great power. I would just purchase an FP GREEN turbo and run methanol if not get tuned on race gas if you want to dig deep into the 11's with ease. You might want to research the soon to be released HTA FP GREEN.

I thought BR had some aftermarket turbos that bolt up to the stock manifold as well?

BR offers the 20G-LT which is the same as the FP GREEN; Forced Performance modifies the EVO IX turbos to achieve higher flow rates.

All depends what you want:

If you want more power with quickest possible spool then:
- HTA Green

If you want big bang for little money as possible:
- ATP Stealth Kit bolts on to stock manifold
- Choose from GT3071R, GT3076R or GT35R
- If you extrude hone the stock manifold with the ATP housing bolted on it will improve flow a lot...

no real data yet for the HTA green but it should be better than he current FP green and also cheaper as stated by Forced Performance in their own thread about the HTA green but maybe still out of ur budget. You'll probably need to upgrade injectors to make the most out of the turbo.
