Just my .02 cents
Eneos (expensive, but great oil, but not at most local retail stores)
Amsoil (some of the best oil ever, but also not to common in local retail stores)
German Castrol 0w-30 (great oil that you can find at most Auto Zones)

This question is like asking people about religion. Every one has a different opinion and experience. There will always be a debate on this. My 2 cents? I have done research on this myself. I found some answers while looking for the best oil for my gsxr 1000. Mobil 1 had the most lubricating qualities and the least amount of viscosity breakdown after 800 miles of use which is the time when an oil breaks down the fastest. Now, I also was working on a turbo engine that snapped the oil pump chain and had no oil pressure. Ran it at 3000 rpm for 5 minutes without locking up the motor and it never even knocked or made any abnormal noises. This is the way to bleed the high pressure fuel system which runs between 48 bar to 110 bar(Yes I said bar! Not psi. Idle to WOT) The only way to bleed the system is to run the car without the fuel pump until car dies.(Please don't ask what kind of car this is. I don't want to get into issues with work) Any way, it was using Castrol Syntec 5w-40. It boils down to this. Pretty much any name brand synthetic oil out there meets or exceeds the standards. If you change your oil regularly and not go a stupid amount of miles between changes then you are ok. After all, synthetic oils have all of the impurities removed from it unlike conventional oils. That's what makes synthetic so expensive. Quality.

Mike said he'll buy you oil if you don't get more than 10 responses. Lol.

I started using Pennzoil Platinum 2 days ago. It's cheap and it gets good UOA's.

Big surprise, not only did you not search, but you don't even read your own thread.
