now that the X is on the way, time to start modding the IX, exhaust Q

I was wondering, with all the choices in exhausts, is there a chart or sticky somewhere that lays out all the options? Its very confusing with so many choices. Ideally I want to try to get a reliable 500whp out of the car if possible with as much weight reduction as possible (track only car). Any suggestions or where to start looking as the exhaust system is the first mod I want to attack. I searched the forums and it seems like HKS might be a stable solution. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

what is different about that from the HKS ti-carbon exhaust?

Any way to get performance numbers on any of these exhausts?

Also, since these are cat back only, what about dp's?

Thanks guys for the help.

JIC. titanium is expensive. Even the regular Jic stainless is quite light compared to other ss exhausts. They do use a different type of ss, 505 vs 304. 505 is lighter, stronger and better at retaining its chemical properties when the metal cools off. My buddy has the titanium, I have the 505 stainless. They sound phenominal. Trust me, you won't be disappointed, and if want the best deal, Phil at 201 Motorsports. GL with your search.

i have a full megan racing exhaust.... i think it is a great bang for buck mod...but i would also consider the buschur racing turboback, it is lighter and a little be more expensive...so it is pretty much up to what you prefer

I wouldn't be so concerned with the weight of an exhaust but rather an exhaust with minimal bends. I opted for a buschur TBE because of that reason

We have 10 sets of Megan Racing turbo-back systems in stock. We even have the rare black units.

Sorry, we only have our World Record stock turbo 10.92 @ 129.92mph (EST 575whp) back to back passes using the Megan Racing turboback exhaust. FWIW.
