Evo IX compression check

Need a little advice here. Looking at buying this Evo IX MR. Had the guy do a compression check on the motor and it came out to 130-135psi on all cylinders. Does this sound low or about right for an Evo IX? I did a search and found some people saying that IX's are lower than VIII's but nothing definitive.

Anyone got any numbers to share on a healthy IX?

Thanks.

From guage to guage, number will change. But that sounds about right.

As long as the numbers are close across the board, you shouldn't worry. Now if one cylinder came up a lot lower than the others, turn around and walk away...

The numbers looked pretty close across all cylinders. Here is the vid: http://cinmotorsports.com/noahevo.wmv

The car was sitting for about 30min before the test.

Yeah, he's gonna get another shop to do it again with a different gauge. I just don't want to buy a car with a bad motor to begin with.

i understand.. but the motor wouldnt be bad... it would just mean the head was starting to lift and the stock head bolts stretching out... throw in some arp headstuds and it would be fine.. mine was lifting and i just did the 1x1 arp install method and...well you know how my car runs

We've had 100% bone stock Evo IX's come through the shop with less than 5,000 miles on them read 130ish across. Perfectly healthy and within spec and they went on to make good power with mods.
