Also seems like everyone got thier answer on the S3's.
R is for RACE only.. meaning idle, running on a stock ecu or stock valvetrain/head was not our goal... these are for making big power for those that are willing to push it to the limits...

also these will all be solid lifter profiles... meaning running them on a Hydralic lifter will not net you the power of the S series...

these are suggest to be run on our GSC cylinder head as we have designed them around the flow and velocity of the ports.

we will be releasing solid lifters that use shims for these.

yes paul i'll be taking a trip to WA to put a set in ur turd... cuse no one out there wants to install solid lifters...

I will be offering something for the 9 guys if there is any demand i'll cook something up. just not a shelf item.

Interesting tech Greg and Martin.

I knew that the compression bleed off might not be offset by the airflow from a stock turbo but I had been thinking that with a high compression bottom end it might not be too bad.

Aaron, you are also correct but when you say high compression it should be something in the 10+ range. you will want longer duration on the exhaust side.

The answer is yes to the lopey idle, maybe a little more subtle than the 8's. The big cams in my stock turbo car made 35 more wtq over the smaller S1's. I did make a few other changes like 65mm TB and ported intake. But since we are talking about modding and getting the most out of the stock turbo, I would assume you'd do these other items as well. It all works together. Can't just throw the biggest turbo on the car and expect it to be fast with out supporting mods. Same applies here.

Idle w/ 280/272

I run the S2s in my IX and not only do the idle fine, they pull VERY hard with the Green.
hi buddy we tested the 280 hydraulic s3s on a 2 litre car using a gt35r on norris designs dyno , it lost over 40 bhp at low revs but woz very good at high revs and kept its power and woz better than the s2s up at the high revs, s2 is the overall best performer for fp green onwards and simon did say the s3 will be better on a stroker kit though and wont lost power but will be better overall than an s2 using a gt35r on a 2.3 or 2.4 but def not on a 2 litre engine

when i have time im gonna test an s2 exhaust and an s3 intake and we might have the ultimate combo, u never know

That combo on a IX w/ a BIG turbo would be interesting to see as the cosi m3's are a staggered 280/272 combo. But also on an VIII would be nice to see though.

Man that car sounds sick.

You would not happen to have a dyno chart overlay to compare the m3's vs the s1's would ya.

Actually I do, but I'll have to scan them and get them up. I had a faulty WGA so the spool up time was later, but since we fixed it, it feels like a different animal. I may put it back up on the dyno just to see. But I will post them next week if you want.
