Confused: No boost leaks Idling 10.0-.8 afr

Ok so I have a 03 Evo 8 with ONLY 23k on it. Has NOT seen a road in two years. ALso my mods in my signature besides the intake manifold. I went back to stock just to see if it would fic my problem.

I cant figure it out i did multiple boost leak tests no leaks at all.

Yet my car will idle but in like 10's for a afr. And when i give it gas just in nuetral i get this like surging sound and its just very hestitant. Cant put it under a load to drive it at all.

Im not sure what it could be. I am using a jdm map sensor but its reading correctly it seems in evo scan and mitsulogger. Also Im getting no fuel trims at all.

I am also not pulling any codes from scan tech or evo scan.

Anyone have any ideas or any other questions that they might have to check or what ever let me know please.

Thanks Jeremy

Start simple

Check your maf and make sure its clean and the connections on the intake are tight. I had a loose intake once and it throw my AFR's all over the place.

Check your o2 sensor.

So who did your tune? Its kinda like like you've put 680cc injectors on the car without rescaling the injectors.

It might just be the tuning, why didn't you look into that first?

Because the guy that tuned your car is tuning my car thats why.

As for the car. I put new plugs in again today. Starts up fine fouled the old ones out.

Still idling in the 10.6-10.8 range. No Boost Leaks, Front o2 Sensor is good, No CEL or Codes being shown in OBD Scan Tech and Evo Scan.

Check your FPR.

If your front o2 is working fine w/o any check engine light, you should be in closed loop to maintain a 14.7 afr at cruise/idle, you're obviously not and the car is fine with that (no CEL) - strange.

wideband is fine its on the down pipe before the cat in a 1-2 o clock postion.

As for the the car. Im not sure but what if i drop my temp for closed loop to 0 deg celsius ? to see if it puts it into closed loop or no ?

how long have you had the car running at any one time? Until it warms up it is in open loop. So, IF the injectors are set correctly and have the right latencies, you could lean out the fuel map in the low load low rpm area of starting.

However, the big thing is the fact that the car sat for two years. The gas in the car's fuel lines and tank is crap, prolly varnished some areas...

Do you have the stock injectors?

I would put them back on with a stock map and see if she will idle. It could be the injectors are sticking.
