This is absolutely ridiculous. The acronym "WHP" has absolutely no meaning anymore. If you understand the losses that will exist because of the drivetrain and through friction at the wheels, a stock Evo will make like 200-220 atw.

So this guy has made 160 hp atw from an exhaust, air filter and tune?

Also, if the car is 220 atw stock, that means to get to 280 hp at the flywheel, you have to use about 24% losses. So the 380 hp atw would then be 500 hp at the flywheel.

You really think Evos make 500 engine hp with a tune and exhaust?

THIS IS RIDICULOUS

overinflated dyno numbers, end of story. On a dynojet, this car would struggle to put down much over 330whp.

definitely can't be right. numbers are way to high to be realistic for the mods

I agree... with those mods on a real untampered with MD should be at max in the 300 whp range....especially on stock cat and 93 octane. Unless of course there is some NOS or something else this guy isn't telling us.

I would check with your tuner to make sure you got the right dyno sheet.

Roughly what should a full weight IX with a 5 speed trap if it makes 380whp on a DynoJet?

Roughly what should a full weight IX with a 6 speed trap if it makes 380whp on a DynoJet?

What was your baseline pull before the tune?

Nice stuff, but don't emphasize that it was a "Mustang Dyno," because it's obviously not reading like a normal MD.

Mr. Evo IX, both would be around 116-117mph, but it depends on what you mean by "full weight IX." People always use the terms "full weight" and "bone stock" when neither are true. Also, there are many versions of the IX - all with different stock weights.

ya there has to be something misreading on the dyno numbers..

i mean on bushur's dyno, i only put down 286awhp and I have the walbro, a JIC ti exhaust, custom cf intake, boost controller (which in the post should put me at 380) in addition to 680 injectors and 264 cams and dynoflash tuned by al.. that wastegate must make the world a difference

pretty sure I should be by the 400 mark on this dyno

I have the heaviest version of the Evo and ran 91mph/115mph while making 360ish on this same dyno. I believe 116mph is attainable with the OP's car. With your post I would say that this dyno reads close to a DynoJet. That is if the settings are still the same from when I dynoed a long time ago.

I doubt you would make that much honestly. Another Evo8 with 272s, 880s, basic bolt-ons, and an Evo9 turbo on pump gas didn't break 400 the same day. Taylors car seems to run very strong for the mods.
