Turbo Change

Am thinking of changing the turbo on my evo 6 to a one from a 9, I know the is a couple of diffrent ones but i dont know what the differences are between them and whitch one would be best suited to my car, Also what other mods would i need to do to get it to fit eg, oil/water lines, front pipe, intercooler pipe, manifold , i have the following mods done so far

Manley rods
hks 272 cams
apexi avcr
xs manifold
3" exhaust front pipe back
GReddy intercooler
hks filter
neverneverman alloy intake
evo 7 ecu conversion
lc1 wideband
Stainless turbo elbow

Also what sort of power would u expect a 9 turbo to make over a stock 6 turbo and what would be a fair price for a used turbo,

Thanks i advance for any comments

I am assuming that the swap should be pretty much equivalent to our going from an VIII turbo to a IX turbo. The VI and VIII came with the same TDO5HRA-16G turbo(Thanks Triny!).

You'll need the IX turbo's compressor housing discharge pipe, as well as the IX turbo's oil and coolant lines. You can get these from any Mitsubishi dealership. The JDM and British market IX RS turbo is preferable for fast spoolup due to its Magnesium compressor wheel.
