this may sound dumb but.......i was looking on a website tongiht and i saw a 44mm external wastergate. and as all of u no, the big commotion on here was the external o2 dump. now my qeustion is. what is the difference between the two??? like besides i no what a external wastegate is and does and i no the o2 dump has a welded pipe into the o2 hosing. but what are the diffenreces, why arent ppl just buying the external wastegate and being done instead of waiting for a manufacturer to build one???

 

The stock turbine housing has an internal wastegate controlled by a Wastegate Actuator. The O2 dump is for people with a stock-like setup.

External wastegates are used on big T3/T4 turbo manifolds
