MR bov leaking ?

Yeah i know its another thread about the BOV but i couldn't find the answer to my question. I just switched my greddy rs bov to the mr bov on my IX. all the hoses seem to be on tight and the mr bov is brand new yet when i get up to around 4500-5000 rpms i hear air leaking and i get no boost. My car is stock and i dont have a boost gauge to see whats going on. I might of installed it backwards but im not sure. Does this sound like a defective bov?

1. You need a boost gauge.
2. When u rapidly let off the throttle, does it flutter alot?

Wait a minute. How are you stock but you had a Greddy BOV? Did you buy it that way or something? The stock IX BOV is _better_ than the Greddy for your purposes, so that doesn't make sense. Are you sure you're stock.

Also, what do you mean you switched to the "MR bov" on your IX? There is no MR bov unless you're referring to the JDM MR DV, which comes STOCK on your IX.

My guess is you have Intake Snorkel Syndrom. Do a search for that or for bat-talon.

i got my car with the greddy bov, so i bought the MR bov from lancershop. Its not really fluttering, more like not holding the pressure at all and is releasing air when im still hitting the gas around 5000rpms

I gave you what I think is the answer. Did you heed my recommendations? It takes about 2 minutes to do what I said to do and another 2 minutes to fix the problem.

FYI, if you bought a IX that had an aftermarket BOV instead of the superior stock BOV, then I highly doubt the rest of the car is stock. It's a crying shame when a IX owner actually purchases a new JDM MR DV when it comes stock on the car.
