Its ok...some people can't even install a BOV the right way.

 

The O2 housing is a *****...mine is in but the bolts want to keep backing out and giving me exhaust leaks.

 

oh man....sounds like that how to thread needs to be revised a little.

 

Tighten up those bolts.

 

Mine fall right out. In fact... its happened so many times... whenever the evo decides to whip a rock up under the car and it makes a noise, "the missus" rolls her eyes and says "turbo bolt"...

I refuse to go gorilla tight on them for the reasons described in this thread. But I have tried applying "AMPLE" force to them with no luck. Then I went moderately tight + blu loctite. Since, I have only had one fall out. (The bottom one thats near impossible to get to - of course)

I think its just the different expansion rates of the SS o2 vs the turbo's hotside. That slowly works them loose.

we never had a problem coming loose, we use anti-seize and tighten them...

Yea that bottom bolt sucks...I finally got the others to stay tight but the bottom one is completely gone I'm pretty sure lol...its give me a decent leak since my a/f's are hovering around 16.0 instead of 14.7 at idle lol.

 

I must admit, o2 housing are a PITA to do, ive done many many of them and i wouldnt do another one ever hahahaha

 

I highly reccomend anyone trying to remove exhaust nuts or bolts of any kind spray them with PB BLASTER and let it sit overnight. The stuff really works! I broke a stud off in my 10.5 housing, man was I pissed. So the second time around it had to come off I used the PB blaster on everything, and wallah, everything came out suprisingly easy!

 

this man speaks the truth. we left my rad in when we did mine no problems what so ever.

 

Will try Soon2BEVO's suggestions with PB blaster, getting ready to install mine soon this week.
