Blah, Clutch Problems :(
Blah, Clutch Problems :(
So i was at the track last night and made 3 passes, on the last one i trapped 118mph but my rpms looked too high for that speed. Also, going down the track, it felt like my rpms were a little too high. So then i stoped and the clutch peddle felt strange, kind of week. I decided to try going through the gears, while i was stopped, with the car on. It was kinda hard going into all the gears, especially 4th, 4th was pretty hard, and reverse was deffinatly difficult. So i drove home and it didnt feel bad once i was moving, although the clutch peddle still felt odd. Its an Exedy twin disk clutch with about 8k miles on it. Its been launched a good amount of times at the track. What could my problem be? its an 03 evo, stock tranny.
Ok i went out to the car today and it feels alot better for some reason. I havnt driven it, but i started it up and moved the shifter through all the gears and it was only a little more difficult than usual.
Altho also one thing i forgot to mention, was on the way home my wideband decided its only going to say 14.7 for the rest of its life.lol

been seeing this on a few evo's, both had Exedy Twins. We are going to pull the cluch on one soon and diagnose the problem. It sounds like something is warped from the heat, but will find out soon... as far as the clutch pedal being weak, maybe bleed the clutch line to see if that helps
