I'm getting front and rear Cusco RS diffs installed in my car, a 2006 Evo IX rally car. I ordered the 1.5-way front diff, and the 2-way rear diff. All the directions for the install are in Japanese. From the visuals in the manual, it looks like swapping around one part in the diff will change it from 1-way, 1.5-way, or 2-way. Does anyone know if Cusco ships the diffs with the 'as-ordered' configuration, or do I need to make any changes to it prior to install so they are 1.5F and 2R?

There is also a lockup percentage that can be changed around, but it looks that the way they ship them they are setup with the 100% lockup.

Basically if you move the crossshaft 45 degrees, you change from 2 way to 1.5, or 1.5 to 1 way, and increasing or decreasing the springs will increase or decrease the preload.

 

Thanks for the link...do you happen to know if Cusco shipps the diffs in the requested configuration (in my case 1.5F, 2R), or does my installer need to make changes to get my preferred setup?

I'm not sure if we looked at the way the rear was setup before it got dropped into the case. Do you know how we adjust the cross-shaft? I don't see any instructions on how that is done.

Also when I look at the pics, the setup for the 1way and 2way with the cross shaft look the same to me...just looks like the cam shifts around.
