ISC valve variations...03 - 06 interchangeable?

I have had the poor and fluctuating idle during cold start up. Car drives fine after everything is all warmed up.
I recently purchased a good condition used ISC valve from a 06' Evo IX ...the units are different and only share the same harness connector and screw holes. I have installed it and the idle is still crap initially.

Didn't know mitsu would change the part that drastically.

Any ideas? List of part#'s for the ISC from 03-06?

I can't comment on the 06's but I noticed yesterday the ISCV tables of an 05 rom (specifically the AC off-drive and AC on-neutral) have a much higher values in the colder temps than my 03 rom.

If the idle is crappy on a cold start but gets better maybe adjusting the ISCV parameters could help?

adjusting the values doesn't make a difference. The idle used to change...
