How To know if ARP Head Studs Installed Any1 ?

Hey guys just a quick question. I have been real lazy in taking off the valve cover to find out if there are arp head studs installed in my car.

The reason i dont know is obvious because i bought it the way it was from a new used dealer with no receipts. All i was told that there was 10k invested.

I dont believe that there was 10k invested unless the motor is built but there was some money invested.

Im just trying to cover all my bases here and make sure everythings up to far for some boost lvl's.

Also won't the ARP's be red ? or am i mistaken ?

THanks Jeremy

take the valve cover off. the stock studs are actually bolts, therefor the tops of them you wont see a nut threaded onto a stud (it will simply be the bolt top). if they are arp or other aftermarket stud, you'll see a nut threaded onto a stud.

Are the oem bolts black? If not the ARP studs and nuts are black.

Thanks guys for the quick response. Just took the cover off and they were just oem bolts. Looks like one more thing to buy.

Thanks anyways. Atleast I know what Im in for. I may go find some nice hex bolts for the valve cover. black ones too Im not a chrome kinda guy.
