Precisions Possible Rival to the 35r HTA???

Well i just got word from Precision that they are releasing their NEW Billet Wheel 62mm t3 Turbo.. There will be 2 Versions, 6262, 6265.. We are getting our order 1/2 in .63 and 1/2 in .82 Rear Housings.. Estimated time frame is within 2 weeks for these to arrive.. As soon as we get our 1st units I will be testing it on my RS against the Precision 67p trim.. I dont have a 35r hta to test up against but i am sure someone else will test it.. Stay posted!!

We got the heads up a little bit ago and have some on the way, but today is the official release date. This should be a very cool option, and the pricing is great too! Keep us all posted on your testing Mike, we're hoping to do the same shortly.

Yeah i would figure you guys would get the scoop before us..

Ill definitely keep everyone posted on the results.. My hope is if they are engineered as well as Precision Turbos usually are, they can keep up with the demand.. Waiting 4 weeks for Hta's is making it very hard to sell..

Prices will be..

pt6262 - 1399.00

pt6265 - 1575.00

They will also be offered in Journal bearing for less but we didnt get any of those to stock as the BB is probably the most popular..

very nice....always something new to purchase .

ETS happenes to be one of the bigger purchasers of the Precision turbos so they always get the heads up before most people.....

I have another question?

6262 is a 30R?

6265 is a 35R?

Thanks

They both are the same compressor wheel.. the turbine wheel is slightly smaller on the 6262..

Precision has now gone to a part number system that identifies their compressor and turbine wheels in millimeters for easy identification. Both of these will be 62mm inducers with 62mm or 65mm exducer

Man I cant believe they still sell that compressor housing. Fact: it doesnt work. I had 35r that surged really bad even in 3rd gear. Forked over 250 for that stupid cover, didnt do a thing after I installed it. Ended up loosing 150 selling it. Bought the hta35 next and my surge problem was completely gone...
