I have exact the same car as your 05 GG and I never ever had problem.
Have you miss shift a lot in the past?
Do you track your car a lot, road course, autoxing, 1/4?
How often you change transmission fluid?

As for my 05, it grinds only when stopped from a cold start and I try to put it in Reverse. Also, first gear feels reluctant to want to go in. However, if I put it in Fifth gear first, it seems to realign itself and then easily goes into any gear including Reverse.

Once everything is warmed up good, there is no grinding.
