*AMS PRODUCT RELEASE* Track Only CF Front Doors
When shedding every last pound reaches no limits AMS brings you are Track Version CF Front doors. These doors are made for racing and Racing only. The doors were designed for our own Drag and Time attack cars to shed as much weight as possible.
unlike other carbon fiber doors this is COMPLETELY carbon fiber from the skin down to the actual Frame as the pictures show. This is a no-nonsense all business piece....heck they don't even have door handles.
A Full weight EVO Front door with glass weighs in at 56 lbs...yeah...thats a lot.
Our carbon fiber door with no window or lexan in it weighs in at 9.2 lbs....thats not a lot
With lexan and hardware you can expect to shave over 80lbs off of your car. Again thats 80 LBS!!!!!
The factory window tracks and motors are not designed to be used with these but some have made them work with some ingenuity and customization. Again these doors are the FRONTS ONLY and are not designed for a show or street car but rather for someone building one hell of a race car.
Shipping will be calculated by our staff after your order is placed and you will be contacted to confirm the purchase prior to charging your credit card.

actually it saves 94lbs not 80.. I guess you have to add back the lexan but still.. Thats pretty serious weightloss!!

Looks nice, but ... why did you guys decide to follow the interior contours of the door? Why not just go with a flat piece of CF? Would've been easier to make, no?

ive seen these in person and AMS is right, these would not work on a street car at all, if i remmeber correctly, you cant even touch them as they have no real support when ridiing in a car with these, it almost feels like the door is about to fall off lol, but very good for a racecar indeed

I was wondering the same thing. All of that extra "thickness" of the doors from those inward skins also means that the door bars of a cage can't be built out to the door skins, thus sacrificing impact absorption and clearance from the driver. That seems like kind of a "duh" point to me, so maybe there was some other reason for this design approach?
