Does anybody have the exact FSM values for the two compression tests: Static and dynamic?

It was my understanding static compression refers to simply your compression ratio, ie 9:1, etc.

Dynamic compression I thought meant your actual compression ratio when factoring things like cams and such which would change your compression ratio because of how much air is let in before compression.

Not sure on all this though.

?? no you are supposed to pull the cam angle sensor harness so the fuel system is disabled.

And I thought Evo 9 compression checks should be between 130-140.

Under Evo 9 should be around 170-180.

That would work too.

But explain to me why wide open throttle is done then?

Hmm I guess if you did have the throttle plate closed, the piston might have problems "sucking" air into the cylinder.. as there might be vacuum in the inlet. I can't see any purpose to this type of test.

It is hard to build cylinder pressure when you dont have a supply of air.

Yes.

I'm quite sure about 100% throttle = no fuel.

Has that function in my Autronic SM4 too.

No I don't think so... evo 9 around 140, evo8 around 180. Not 100% on this though maybe someone else can chime in.

You are correct. No need to disconnect anything. Just make sure you are WOT, this shuts off the injectors.

No, Evo 9 is lower than Evo 8. Off the top of my head 130-150 for 9, 160-180 for 8
