Clutch slipping...kinda

So I recently bought a Fidanza 3.2 kevlar clutch kit and had the dealership do the install with a brand new stock fly wheel. For the next couple of days I stayed up really late trying to find the most stop lights and stop signs to put the required 500 miles (stop and go traffic) on it so that it would be broken in. I had the clutch broken in by Wednesday and went to the track on Friday. I was running ok times but all of a sudden i noticed that my RPM's were going a bit high during the middle of my run and it was showing signs that it was slipping agian. I got worried so I jumped on the freeway and accelerated hard in the exact same way that i was on the track and nothing seemed to be slipping. I went back to the track and while waiting for the other car i used the 2-step to get prepared for my launch; the light turned green and it went absolutely no where and just bounced around 7800 RPM's and while i was going down the track it just wasnt grabbing at all (I ran a 22.5 @ like 51 MPH). I then jumped on the free way again and everything was fine; the clutch is now more aggresive than ever and feels great it has never showed the same signs that it was on the track so im totally stumped on what is going on. Does any one have any idea what is going on and could give me some advice on what they think happened i would really appreciate it.

It just sounds like it was over-heating. Perhaps it's not completely broken-in?

It had been atleast 45 minutes to an hour since my previous run and as soon as I did my run i went on the freeway and it didnt show any signs of slipping. And right now its running like a champ and hooks up better than ever before.

the easiest way to notice the pill is on a launch, otherwise it will just randomly act up on fast gear changes at higher load.

500 miles is not enough for a new clutch to launch hard especially at the track. plus kevlar material is not heat/friction friendly, it grabs hard but doesnt hold on launches.... ill say stay away from Kevlar!!!

do a search on clutch restrictor pill. its essentially a safeguard for your drivetrain, that slips the clutch if it see's too much torque. It's an easy job so most people remove it when they get a new clutch.

Removing it voids the warranty on your drivetrain.
