Axle question...

I was installing coilovers on my car and ran into a little issue. When i started to install the coilover on the passanger side, the knucle doesnt seem to go back into place. seems like the end of the axle is holding the rotor up. thinking the axle got pulled out of the boot closest to the trans/tc. tried banging it in and its not lining up or im not pushing it hard enough. the bottom of the rotor is pointed down and back towards the center of the car. any ideas?

Post a picture please.

I happen to have my drive shafts removed right now for a clutch job. I cannot quite figure out what you are describing.

The inner joint pulls freely apart; held together by the boot. I can't imagine the need to hammer it back together. Is the inner boot compressed or expanded (with dimples)?

I do think its the inner joint that holding us up and i know on my dsm it just goes back into place with some force.......not the case on this car.

We dont have a still camara but will do have a video one.....maybe will make a vid and post it. I think that will be the best way to see what we're talking about.
