Recently my car likes to idol @ 2K Rpm randomly. at first i thought i had a boost leak but after doing the test and looking all over i cant find one. i cant find out what the problem is and it only does it once and a while. i dont throw any check engine lights over it. does anyone have any ideas?

 

Bad IAC or bad Idle setting in the ECU.

 

car got tuned by tim bailey on saturday and the set the idol at the 1100 cause of my cams, after talking with him after the tune he thinks the motor in the idol control is going out or getting stuck open any other ideas

 

I can help with your spelling. Idol is someone you worship. Idle is the correct term.

 

First checkbehind the valve cover where your throttle cable connects to that bracket. There are two bolts on a slide type bracket make sure that they are not pulling to taught on the cable this will make your car idle high as it is pulling on you throttle cable keeping the throttle plate partially open

Thank you for coming into my thread and pointing out that I used the wrong spelling of a word. After looking over it I also noticed that i didnt use proper grammar as well and for that alone I should be banned from this forum. Though the rest of the posters in this thread didnt seem to have a problem with my spelling and knew what I was talking about. So please if you want to troll around threads and raise your post count go do it in another section besides the Engine/Turbo/Drivetrain section. As for the issue it was the IDLE control motor so I ordered a new throttle body and fixed the issue. Thanks everyone for the help.
