Remove fuse to reset ecu?
Would removing the 7.5 amp battery fuse in the under the hood fuse box reset the ecu? This method worked for my older cars, I was just wondering if this would be an easier way to do it.
Reportedly from another thread you can unplug the far left ECU connector and step on the brake and then plug it back in. Someone reported this as Shiv's method.
1. Remove glove box
2. remove plastic ECU cover
3. Unplug far left ECU connector
4. Press brake pedal until it's hard.
5.Plug ecu connector back in.

Yes there is a way, problem is there is more than 1 fuse for the ECU so it's trial and error on your part to figure out wich one is the one you need to pull. They mark a bunch as ECU even though the are not exactly for the ECU (power).
