I am installing my new turbo kit, and the stock radiator fan is in the way. We tried trimming the shroud to get clearance, and it's not going to be enough. I have been told that I can remove that fan, and the fan on the ac condenser can adequately cool the radiator. Has anyone else had experience removing this fan? What did it do to temps/ street driveability? Any intelligent responses would be appreciated.

 

I probably wouldn't do that, just get a slimfan. It will make your life much easier.

 

I know there are alot of guys with turbo kits that run with out them, what are the temps like?

 

I dk if I'd want to try it on a DD car, especially if you live in a hot place with traffic.

 

Looking for people who have done this, i know the obvious drawbacks

99% of the people who upgrade turbos run a slim fan

 

Just run a slimline. Its 29-50 bucks and its easy to install.
