hey guys and gals, im a newbie on here, so please b patient w/ me. i have a 03' evo im the 2nd owner, my mods r hks high power turbo back, injen intake i/c upper and lower i/c kit, comp 280s, manual b/c, walboro 255, slowboy stage 4 head, arp studs, fidanza cam gears, and hks ssqv, and a catch can. my problems r as follows
1) it smokes really bad when i get out of the gas after being wide open, its a blueish white color, so what are the possible faults
2) the computer pulls timing, from like 25 to 10degrees sometimes, it dosent do it all the time and it only seems to do it when i brake boost or ride the clutch when launching to build boost, what would cause that, im thinkin its in the tune.
3) the hks ssqv isnt working right, its like it quits in the middle of the blow off, and it sounds like air is surgin back into the turbo, i can hear it in the intake and filter.
so there u have it im mind boggled, and my friend who is in school for ase certification and hes clue less to. it passed a compression test, #2 cylinder is leaking down a lil bit, im gona do a leak down test this weekend. and fyi i havent had it on the dyno yet, i was waiting to get new injectors and possibly a meth kit, but after i got the head built, it started smoking and it just started surging throught the turbo this week. dont wana put it on the dyno to jsut do it again. and it has been pulling timing away for bout a year now. any help any1 can give me id greatly appreciate it. sorry for the long *** message but o well. thanx guys

yes sounds like a messed up head gasket to me....
check the coolant overfill tank and see if there is oil in there.......if so then def your headgasket needs replacing.....
and make sure the headstuds are torqued to the correct specs
