Difference between Exedy Twin SD vs. Exedy Twin HD?

What is the difference between the Exedy twin SD and HD? I am looking at the SD, at least I think I am, but a friend is suggesting the HD.

Any difference in drivability, chatter, pedal feel between the two?

Thanks.

Pedal pressure and torque holding ability.

AMS only sells the HD.

So no extra chatter with the HD over the SD?

How long does it take to get used to the HD?

It is the easiest to drive and most effective solution I've ever had in my car. Rev matching is like sexy time with the clutch pedal with this choice

IMO it all depends on how much power you plan to make. The HD isnt hard to drive, yeah you gotta get used to it but its not like trying to ride a bike for the first time, so if you can afford the HD then get it.

I love mine

Hehe, yeah the hd. Would waste my time with the sd as I've heard of them just not holding up due to what I've been told is a lighter than stock (feeling) pressure plate. The HD is stiffer than stock but we're not talking act crazy or anything

Thanks for all the input!

Anyone know how the Cusco Twin Plate compares to the MM022HD? I know Exedy makes the Cusco and all, but any difference in drivability, chatter, pedal feel?

Thanks

Ask ElectricEvoIX, he just put the Cusco in his IX and has driven mine so he could compare the two...

Go HD, I've owned a Cusco twin, and a Exedy HD twin. I've also driven Exedy SD twins and there just isnt a point in the SD anymore. It doesnt hold as much torque, and the pedal pressure really isnt a big deal.

The Cusco clutch is the same as the Exedy SD.

Exedy isnt even going to make the SD anymore.

Crazy. So the Cusco used the sd pressure plate diaphram paired with the special carbon lined friction material? Good to know

Just installed the exedy HD a week ago and love it
It took me 2 days to get used to it, 3 days a go I did a 2nd to 5th gear pull and love it.

Chris from nolimit can hook you up with a good price
