HELP! licp keeps popping off

HELP! licp keeps popping off

i have the injen intercooler kit and the lower pipping keeps popping off i have T-bolt clamps turbonetics and they don't even help if your looking at the car its the bottom left does anyone have a solution ? im running 24psi so idk what to do...?

Is your coupling greasy? Try cleaning the coupling with brake cleaner/de-greaser then put some hair spray on it. Once the hair spray dries, it will be very tacky and the clamp will seat a little better.

ya im gunna try the hairspray thing i just read on that i lost my t-bolt clamp when it blew off so now i have to go get another one

He's right...make sure you clean any oil or grease before putting hairspray on or it wont help.

Put the stock pipe back on. The LICP does nothing for performance.

Yes the injen lower pipe has a lip on it. At least mine does. I had a problem with it blowing off with stock clamps, but once I got t-bolts, no more problem.

You might try roughing up the area where the coupler connects to the pipe with some sandpaper give it a little bight. Rub some laq thinner on it or denatured alcohol to clean it afterwards and take the grease off. Use like 220 grit sandpaper or something like that.
