pump issues

We had to put an 8 pump back in my buddies car to get it up to a friends house today for a cam install. It was running just fine when we took the 9 pump out and we used an 8 pump out of a perfectly running car. Once we put the 8 pump in the car would not start. We took it out a few times to make sure it wasn't a dumb mistake. Still couldn't get it to start. Took the assembly to a local guy were we compared it to his and another cars and couldn't find any problems.

When we try to start the car you can hear the pump. But after trying to turn it over for a while, when you pop off the lines it doesn't squirt any fuel out.

Any thoughts?

Have you tried to reinstall the IX pump?

before trying to crank the car over, turn the key on and wait 15 seconds. then turn it off and wait 30 seconds. repeat this about 5 times to fill ur fuel lines. then fire it up

It turned out to be the o ring where the ground wired clip clips into the bottom. It was cocked just enough to not seal and I would assume not allow for fuel to pressurize.

Got it fixed and took it down to English Racing!

Paul why would I want one of those?
