Titanium Retainers vs. Chro-Molly Retainers?
Are there pros and cons of either? I was told titanium retainers eventually need replacing where as the chro-molly are much stronger, but all I ever see is titanium retainers for our cars.
GSC makes a set of single springs + retainers that are chro-molly and I've been eye-balling them, unless I should consider titanium retainers.
Any input?

The difference is in the weight savings.
Titanium is little bit lighter, so you can rev a few hundred rpm higher for longer periods.
Chro-molly is a very good material, and will be just fine on a street car. The lower cost is also a +
You wont have to worry about the retainers on a street car, because of the lower continuous revs.
Drag cars, road race cars that are at 7000-10,000 rpm constantly will benefit from Ti retainers. Less stress on any part, is going to be better for a race car.

So do the titanium retainers have the same life-span as the chro-molly ones do?
Aside from cost savings, there's no real reason not to go with the titanium then right?
