SES light flashing all the time ! help !
Hi,
Today I drove to work as usual, everything was normal = fine.
In the evening I got out from work, I turned on ignition, and left it that way for a minute - I was waiting for a friend from work to come down.
Suddenly after about half a minute (ignition on, engine still off) the SES light started blinking fast - like 2 times a second.
I turned the ignition off and removed the key, put it in again and turned the ignition on - the light again started blinking like crazy. I started the engine - everything was fine. I drove away, and after about 50 meters the car started "coughing" - the light blinking fast all the time. I parked the car and got back home - today there's nothing I can do, and I have to wait till tomorrow.
Anyone got an idea what it could be ?
It's a 2003 USDM Evo 8, with hks cams, 3inch blitz spec nur, and reprogrammed ECU for 360hp @ flywheel.

I bought a code reader this weekend. I would suggest you do the same...it's very handy.
As for the SES blinking...I've never seen it blink before. It's either on or off from my experience. Maybe your alternator is acting up? I had a previous car where the alternator wasn't working once the car warmed up...very odd but it manifested itself through odd electrical things like weird speaker audio. And then eventually the car started to bog.

My check engine light blinks just before an overboost condition, then the light stays on. I believe it may also be the ECU is telling you that it is pulling timing. Check your plugs and turn your boost down.
