when is it time to upgrade stock injectors?

is it time to upgrade the stock injectors when you upgrade the turbo (evoix)? beneficial to stay with stock injector with stock turbo and spend the $$ else where?

thanks

Huh? Upgrade your injectors when your Injector duty is at 100% at WOT

This is best determined by your injector duty cycle....which is done by data logging...

Usually with an intake, exhaust, and higher than stock boost (from 19 to about 23-25lbs) they will be maxed out...or very close to...

I feel, the real question is who has maxed out the stock injectors and how much power were you putting down (on which dyno)?

I would upgrade injectors at IDC > 95% @WOT
Just to be safe that I never over heat the injector when I want to drive aggressively consistantly

My $.02

In addition I should add, depending on the dyno used the loading on the street can be different. Your IDC can change from one to another (this has happened to me using an inertia dyno with my GTi, it makes complete sense if you think about it)

on a ix you have no need for injectors until you upgrade the turbo...even with cams and full bolt ons the stock injectors for most tuners are perfectly fine (unless running high than pump gas octane)

can't say too much about the viii as I don't own one but I would assume it's similar as far as stock turbo and bolt ons are concerned

there are certain tuners that do recommend upgrading them

how does that even make sense? with race gas you usually run a tad leaner or the same a/f with just more timing, how would that translate into needing larger injectors?

race gas = 30+psi of boost and 50+ more hp. more HP = more fuel
