Exhaust with Turn down muffler?

I saw a picture of it on here but I can't seem to find it again. I assume its a JDM version.

The muffler had a turn down pipe at the end of it so was facing the road.
If anyone knows who makes this please let me know.

Thanks,

Back pressure? Who needs back pressure when you're drag racing? Look at all of those drag queens with their exhaust exiting out of their FRONT BUMPER!

I think he is talking about the tip of the actual muffler. My cuzzin has one on his S2K. It's very JDM with a hefty JDM pricetag as well.

WHAT? You gain power by having less of an exhaust, especially on a turbo car. Back pressure is a honda thing for slow cars

I think it was the Coltspeed one? IIRC the tip turned down and had like 100 welds on it. It was Full Ti.

Garage HRS makes a catback with a turn down Ti tip welded to the muffler.

Yes I was reffering to the muffler having a turned down tip.
I ran an open downpipe with a tuen down on my DSM and will never do that again!
Just too loud.

I believe the coltspeed is the one I saw.
Coltspeed - Technical Factory Hirano.

Thanks for the help!

Backpressure does not make power, exhaust velocity does. When a turbo is spooled up, the less backpressure behind the turbo the more power you will make. Super short exhausts on turbo cars will lose a fair amount of low end torque, until the turbo is spooled up, stuff that doesn't matter on drag car.

you can make an exhaust like this for yourself, just buy the SS tips for pick up trucks

i have a few friends that run them on other cars and it substantially cuts down on noise
