help w/ CEL

"EGR... insufficient flow"
this was after i had the Evo taken in to have the tranny looked at. the 5th gear synchro is running fine now, but i have this CEL on all the time. had the dealership look it over twice for loose hose/connections but they found nothing.
i've been running the full turbo-back/vishnu xede set-up for weeks before this service w/o a problem, so cant really blame the mods install. what conditions would trigger this CEL ? any ideas ?

it's been reset several times by Mitsu and myself. Mitsu resets it using the clear code function of the diagnostic tool and I do it by unhooking the battery for 2 minutes.

I had a check engine light after I installed my mbc. I checked the stock solenoid and pushed on the connector and it went away. I was going to disconnect it but left it on. Guess it was loose from me pulling on it. Not sure if this will help.

egr

have you done any exhaust work? there are positive egrs which uses the back pressure from the exhaust side to open the egr. if you have a free flowing exhaust, it won't have enough pressure to open the egr..thus insufficent flow !

tada,
kent
