Hood vent, and oil temps

hey all

lots of threads about removing / leaving the hood vents (louvers) intact.

I think I've read every post and they're mind numbing: heat transfer, wind dynamics, lots of big college words and philosophical mumbo jumbo. But no damn results.

There has got to be somebody who tracks their Evo, has tried it with/without the hood vent in place, and has results to share?

On the track, does the car run measurably cooler without the hood vent?

thanks!
