quick bov question
okay ill make this quick. i have a forge bov with the thirty psi spring, plus the spacer that adds like 5 more. i only push 22psi. now tell me this... when i have it on the correct way.. it starts to flutter at like 12 psi??? no leaks in vacuum line.. flip it around.. dont laugh. and it stops flutering?? wth is goin on lol?? ps. it still releases all the air even backwards. with the open chamber on the boosted side is what i mean by backwards. any ideas welcome, trash talkin if you want.. but im stumpped
mine fluttered in my gti at low boost too, i'd just run a IX diverter valve instead. i think its just because your shifting at lower rpms/boost and the spring is set up for higher boost. if you had a, lol, 12 psi spring it would sound fine but then it wouldn't hold up to 30 psi. maybe try getting a 25 psi spring.
I have the Forge Diverter Valve...it works OK I guess, but I am experiencing the flutter as well. I am going to put my stock one back on until I try out the Forge RS, APS, or Perrin unit.
On a side note, is it possible that you have too strong of a spring/shim combo if you are only pusing 22 lbs?
