Install my 02 dump this weekend.....

I recently purchased a 02 dump from AWD motorsports. Its the evo powermods external dump. Got it in 2 days of the day i placed the order...decided to start putting it on thursday night, Started takin everything apart. wow what a PITA my car just turned 30k so all the bolts were tighter than hell. PB blaster is your best friend installing this! The lower heasheild harder than hell to get to the bottom bolt, 02 sensor make sure u dnt strip the threads $345 for a new one from the dealer and it was friday i called them and they said it wouldnt be till tuesday until they get it. I broke one of the bolts off in the hotside of my turbo ****ty. had to drill and tap it out. my 02 sensor threads stripped luckliy i could clean them up enough to get into the new housing. Even tho this thing was a pain to get put on Results are well worth it. the sound. the boost threw the powerband. the quicker response. Everything all the troubles i had getting this thing on im happy with the way it turned out! Also if u have an evoand modify it reguarly and dont have a beater or a daily driver invest in one...If i didnt have my truck i would have been stuck!

Well if your mechanical ability is on par with your grammar, I believe you had all of those problems.

I changed out my O2 housing myself. I had none of the problems you had.

I started spraying the bolts and O2 sensor days before with PB blaster. I used a proper O2 wrench, a breaker bar and blow torch to break the O2 sensor free.

well thats where i messed up i didnt spray the PB on the bolts until i got the hot side off the car. and i used my 02 socket that goes on a 1/2" air gun and turn the gun down to the first setting idk y it didnt come out. ive taken many of 02 sensors out without heating them and just spraying PB on them but must of just been my luck that day..

Yes, I do. Much less than the cost of a new O2 sensor and all the other things you managed to **** up while in there. And I usually don't have problems when working on my car but that's just me. I'm all for DIY though so good job.

When I took my Turbo off I broke a bolt off. Those bolts get way hot and weld themselves onto the threads. It seems the factory doesn't use high temp anti seize. I had to also get the torch out to get my O2 Off originally, it was on way too tight as the bolts were too from the factory. Apparently the Factory techs don't torque the bolts down to specs, or should I say they over-torque to their own specs...lol...but glad it worked out in the end...as it usually does with anything else...We'll be waiting to see what Kreionic(Charlie's) Tune can do for your Evo. Kreionic / CBRD has Installed/Tuned about 3-4 of the EPM O2 housings so far.

I've swapped out 02 housing/hotsides on a few evos all with over 45k and they were TOO hard. But as some people said, your paragraph was hard to understand. Good job on the install!
