compression problems??

I just recently installed my 2nd head gasket today.... since my first one blew on the dyno.... my frist head gasket (after blowing) read 150/120/150/150..... obviously my leak is in cylinder 2

after installing my 2nd gasket today I did a compression test when the car was cold..... I read 175/175/175/175

after taking the car for a quick spin and back.... did another compression test...
now im back down to reading 155/160/165/155

do i have a major leak somewhere?? or could i just simply retorque my ARPs down a little harder?

ARP's are known to stretch a bit. It's always a good idea to retorque them after the first couple of miles. Could possibly be a problem with your deck surface, especially if it's gotten hot. Obviously the leak isn't coming from the same place, so it's not a problem with the valve seat or the rings. If retorquing them doesn't work, pull the head and have the deck checked.

But for what it's worth, 155 isn't that bad. Check for oil in your coolant, if it's clean and you're not running much boost, I'd run it.

There is not a huge jump in compression between the cylinders so you are fine there. Did you use a different gasket when you did it the 1st time and the 2nd time? That could affect compression.

LIke the person above me posted retorque the head studs and try again.
