ive got an evo IX...the next step of the build will be fp red, injectors, 02 housing and cams...? is which cams would be best for daily driving with this setup on the stock valvetrain...hks 272 or gsc s1...remember, this car is dd and stock valvetrain

GSCs

 

if you are getting a RED,i would suggest the S2s

 

cant do s2's on the stock valvetrain...i spoke with gsc and they said absolutely no way

 

if you want to get the most out of your setup....the HKS 272s or s1s wont do it

at least get HKS 280s....they work with stock springs

 

I heard that the gsc 1 works great with the stock turbo.

 

^I thought GSC recommends the s1 for a stock turbo up to a 30r? With s2s going on 35r and higher?

 

i am keeping the stock turbo, just exhaust, K & N drop-in, injectors, walbro fuel pump, and a tune.

the GSC 1s require cam gears as well?

 

You prob don't need a cam gears with the S1 coz they are pretty much dead on as far as the degree goes.But give greg @ GSC a call just to be on the safe side.
