FP evo green Hot side question.....???
FP evo green Hot side question.....???
I'm pretty sure I know the answer to this already, but I wanted to check cause its too sweet of a deal to pass up......
Does FP machine the hotside of the turbo on a FP green, or do they modify the turbine to fit the hotside???
I have a friend with an FP Green on a 2G.... he hates it, and wants a smaller turbo, aka my evo 8 turbo.... but I think the only thing that will work is the center cartage.... I know they machine the compressor side, but I'm pretty sure I can make that work as it is........ but the hotside I think is the deal breaker. Ideally I would switch my hotside and lines with his and be done.... but I'm fairly certain this isn't the case....
Anyone try this, or have any info?????
I did search for a while and didn't come up with much... if you know of a thread which this has been talked about before, please point in the the direction....

Well I know that, I have a first gen also.....which acctually has an FP turbo from back in the day when FP was in austin.......
And I figured it wouldn't work.... but people do some amazing things... and wanted to see if anyone had tried it.......
...... I guess case closed wont work.... crap

Even if it could physically work (which would require essentially rotating the center shaft 180°, among other things), now you would have a compressor & turbine designed to work with a specific compressor & turbine housing, matched with a completely different set of housings. You could certainly be the first to try it, but I don't think you would be very successful...
