i think buschur can get you a straight through exhaust any style you'd like from him without or with a muffler with that style tip you want. PM him. I remember reading about it somewhere.

it comes with the muffler pictured, I do not know which muffler it is, or if it is a "buschur special"....... I bought the car with this exhaust all ready on the car..... the car is a fully built buschur beast by David Buschur personally....... but the system I have looks exactly like the one pictured, and it sounds amazing under power....... like I said earlier, it is a bit raspy at idle, it is not a deep solid note.....

shot of boost.

How loud do you want it? The exhaust with no cat and a muffler delete pipe is just rediculously loud. I would not want to drive the car like that personally.

The bullet muffler with no cat is pretty loud, about as loud as most people want it.

The Magnaflow muffler option with no cat is mellow, very pleasant sound, deep and mellow.

All of the systems are STRAIGHT through, no resonators, no reducers.

If you add a cat to any of the options it drops the sounds considerably, the power drops too.

I see no need for a 3.5" or larger exhaust. I've tested the two back to back and we build a 3.5". My RS runs our 3" turbo back with the bullet muffler and JDM EVO9 rear bumper option, the car just ran a 9.11 at 155 mph in full street trim.

Sorry to hijack, but what about the BR TBE compared to the AMS TBE, both catless.

Which sounds better/louder?

Well, its pretty simple. Both the ETS and Buschur 3" Exhaust are straight, no resonators, no reducers, both very loud (can be quiet with buschur with a magnaflow, or from ETS you can get a straight through baffled resonator to keep it quiet).

Also, both are slip-fit style exhausts.

THEY WILL MAKE IDENTICAL POWER. But the only thing Buschur himself will hold over every company to get the sale is "its the lightest exhaust on the market". IMO its the ugliest. But I still rock one.

Cant go wrong with either. Oh, ETS has 1 less bend which is why they have an angled muffler.

ETS

Buschur

Go with what you like, I personally am getting rid of my Buschur TBE for a ETS since Im going to have a ETS HTA35r kit. So why not make it all ETS.

Folgers can look? IIRC, you too have a folgers can its just recessed, in which you can still see from behind.... And not to mention, the tips are the same size for grapefruit shooting!

But with the BR exhaust you can put the muffler where the cat resides.....then have straight pipe all the way back. Makes the back end look so much better because you can't see the muffler at all!!

^^^ I concur. I just dont want to spend the extra $400+ to convert mine to have a muffler toward the center, which I have heard different from both Nick and Jarrod that it is available to do, then its not...

I do like the look of the non muffler pipe from buschur, but since Im already going with an ETS kit, Im just going with a ETS 3" exhaust. I also dont mind the look of an angled exhaust.

I would like to see the non-muffler pipe on a winged evo with a regular back bumper....

If you paint any canister black it will look stealth. Even the Megan at night, you cant tell its there.

yea you can still see it, but it doesn't look like a canister that most imports exhausts have in my opinion... I also think the exhaust tip is a perfect size, but again thats my opinion.

The ETS exhaust pic that Dan posted up is taken from the ground and therefor, you are able to see the, what you guys call, the "folgers coffee can/grapefruit shooter" muffler. When you are standing or driving behind the car you CANNOT see the muffler, all you can see is the tip. This thread, as well as all the vendor comparison threads, don't do anybody much help on making a decision. People love to name call. The truth is either exhaust will work, and work well. It is all a matter of preference between sound and style. Whichever one you think looks better go with it, there are ways to muffle the sound on each and every exhaust, and the two vendors mentioned are fully capable of doing so.
