4g64 setup. JDM evo VII water pump, no adapter
4g64 setup. JDM evo VII water pump, no adapter
hi guys, i am about to do project by 4g64 block with JDM evo VII head, and as i know, you guys (US e8 owner) use special adapter plate with your evo water pump to fit with 4g64 block, and i thought it would be same with my JDm e7, but when i compare with US e8 gasket with my pump it is in different size slightly especially the right bottom part, but when i put US e8 gasket the right bottom side hole still not covered by pump, however using jdm e7 pump, it fits (covers) all area of the water pump like original 4g64 block one, is anybody tested this before? is JDM car has different water pump than US market 1? , thank you
Here are a couple of picts of the water pump assembly from the European VII service manual, it should be exactly the same as the JDM VII.

If someone can post the USDM Service manual and compare what the gaskets look like, we might be able to figure out if it will work or not.

u are talking about the alternator brace or braket right ????? apperently the evo 7 water pump does not have the same bolt pattern to carry that black brace if u have an evo 8 water pump u need to get an evo 8 alternator brace
