Hey well I just took my engine apart and I spun two main bearings. My builder said the block and crank are toast. Can't machine them. What should I do. A oem short block is like 2500. I can't find a used block or crank. I would like a AMS short block but I don't have a good core. Any suggestions? Thanks
Can find a used block or crank? Haven't searched hard enough! Check the for sale forums, I know of a few people selling cranks, including myself. OEM block retail is 1700$, but you could probably find one cheaper, or a used one would run about 1000.
