Well, when your business partner is someone like Aby Nazario, who built open-wheel race engines that revved to 16,000 rpms, almost everything that comes out of your mouth that's car-related compared to that is uneducated

BTW, how much did all that machine work cost you on the crank? Got a pic of that pimpness?

I would run AT LEAST 9.5:1 in an E85 track car.

This is what we did for Turbojunkie's drag build. Coated Je at 9.5:1 so it can still technically run on pump, the usual suspects (1000's, etc.) and a stock turbo for his stock turbo record runs. Since cars tend to run about 20* cooler on eth there isnt disadvantage to running more compression since it will keep a little more heat in the system and not hinder spool. Eth spools better than gas anyway (relative to the flashpoint and timing I would surmise) but the extra compression doesnt hurt anything to be sure

9.5:1 is what we are planning on putting in our new motor. Magnus pistons with RnR rods!

Sorry, I have been trying to get this dang thing back together... Too much fabricating things...

If anyone can send me their email address, I can send you a few pictures for hosting... I don't have a way to host my pictures at the current moment.

I will send you the full resolution so you guys can check it out in detail...

Someone PM me an email address, and I will send some of my motor build pictures.

Cool, sent the pictures to Hokiruu, hopefully he will get them up soon as I am eager to hear the critiques..

Feel free to ask any questions, there was a lot of attention paid to this build (By myself), so feel free to ask any and all questions. Hopefully it should be running again this weekend!

Sorry for the wait. Here are the pics. Looks great so far Thomas! Did you do most of the work yourself? "Low 11's *****!"

Yeah, all the work I did myself with exception of the machine work to the block. I didn't feel quite up to buying the machines to do it. Ha!

I am the type of person, within reason, that if I want to do something and don't have the stuff to do it, I go out and buy it. I love doing things myself, and leaning. Aaaannnndddd, learning by my mistakes...

Oh, and the low 11's, I am hoping to hit that on a stock IX turbo.. hopefully I can make it...

And I made sure to grafitti the heck out of the top of the block before slapping the head on. Damit, I wish I took a picture of it before I slapped the head on..

Thomas just sent me this update:

"I just finished fabbing up my new intake/upper intercooler pipe/lower pipe etc…
Some of if was existing, like the AMS lower pipe, and the ETS intercooler, but, as usual, I modified them mostly for the boost braces, and shortened the AMS lower pipe."

I love the braces. The whole engine and build are extremely clean, efficient, and all business.
