I love them
I did some nice changes to my car, including some Buschur parts and the Kelford's, I was going to keep the Stock ECU but decided to get the Hydra, once Im tuned I will let you know, but I did one pull on my car, with my mech with me on the way to the golf course and my car is a wicked beast @ 20 psi, butt dyno says 420++whp as it is right now, AFR on the low 10's and very conservative timing.

From my own research, the Kelford 272, FPR4, and GSC S2 are virtually the same. You can run all of them with the stock valve train if you want (but not more than 8Krpm). The BR272 will own any of the three cams above. You will definitely need at least springs upgrade with the BR units. Idle will be very hard with stock ECU, you may even need to go AEM EMS.

To me, Kelford 272 is for street car and BR 272 is for race car.

What are you basing this off of? Do you know the specs of the BR 272 cams to be able to compare?

/\ Do you know the specs of the BR cams? Why will they "own" the kelfords, FP's mentioned above...

For the record both FP and Kelford make larger cams than the Kelford 272 if you want to talk about max power potential.

I don't know about the specs on Kelford Cams but I do know the GSC's S2's need a spring upgrade

both require a spring upgrade due to the high lift

Yeah, I'm pretty sure the Kelford 272s are 11mm peak so upgraded springs are a smart decision. Also, I'm fairly certain the effective duration is shorter than the Comp cams contrary to what PPI mentioned. IIRC Kelfords have really short effective durations relative to those generic advertised numbers.

Here are more specs on the kelfords, they are def. not low on duration in my opinion...just because they have a "advertised number of 272" don't let that fool anyone.

Lift: intake 11.0 exhaust 11.0
duration at 1mm of lift is intake: 226 exhaust: 226

The GSC's don't list the duration at 1mm of lift for the S2's for some reason, but even the S3's don't go over 220 at 1mm

The FP 4R lift is intake: .438 exhaust: .429
Duration at .050" intake: 221 exhaust: 228

Good call. A while ago they listed effective duration on their site @ .5 inch. I had those numbers in my head.

Please keep us updated on this. I'm really contemplating dropping down in turbo size and would like to see what the 30r does.

Kelford 272's only need the upgrade if your revving past 8k.
