greddy Ti and DC downpipe issue...

I have a greddy Ti and DC downpipe on my 04 Evo. I am putting it all back together and bolted up the exhaust to the downpipe.

I cannot seem to get the greddy Ti and DC downpipe to mate evenly. The greddy Ti flange is extremely thin and seems to be warped. It seals up well against the bolt sections, but has a gap above and below.

I even tried to double-gasket it with no luck. I don't want to beat the flange with a hammer etc...

Anyone run into such an issue? Any suggestions on what I could do....

Thanks!

If its warped then stand it up and bang away at it with a hammer to straighten it out. Use the floor as a measure and as a brace as you hammer away. If that doesn't work then take it to your local muffler shop and have them weld on a new flange.

I dont know about you but I like to try every option out first before I have to pay some one.

Hope you get that working for you brother.

+1 on installing your own $hit

I agree - but its a titanium flange and very thin and I don't want to break it coz it has some back bracing on it as well...I need to post a pic....

I dunno if any ole muffler shop can weld titanium or I can find a titanium flange either. The DC flange seems fine, its this dang titanium flange which is bothering me
