Backpressure Ratios?
Backpressure Ratios?
Hey does anyone have the backpressure ratio for an GT35HTA? Buschur or anyone that has played with this turbo have any input? i am thinking about this turbo but still unsure....
thanks in advance.

there isnt "a ratio".
Back pressure steadily climbs from the time you go WOT till the moment you lift. It builds steadily throughout the RPM band. Nobody is answering your question because there isnt a "number" that answers it.
You could ask "what is your turbine pressure at 8krpm when you run 30psi boost pressure with a .82 A/R housing with a full 3" exhaust system" and then someone could give you a number, but their number is going to have FMIC pressure drop and camshaft influence built into it of course. People just dont collect this type of data, and when they do they often dont take many steps to ensure that it is "clean" data, but rather just compare how the pressure curve they measured changed with swapping out other parts.

ok so what pressure do the guys that have this turbo see at their boost levels?
i know everything is relevant to their setup. i'd just like to know what numbers they are seeing for turbo pressures with the HTA35R.
since you guys cant give this info, its hard to describe what i want i guess....

Log boost pressure then tap another sensor into the egr valve to log turbine inlet pressure. Turbine psi will increase proportionally to rpm (pumping). Thats why you won't get an accurate response. Expect to see a much less backpressure compared to a stock turbo though which tends to push the direction of flow backwards near redline.
