Here is my stage zero set up - 325 wheel HP on pump gas

SAFC
HKS EVC V
264 / 264 Cams
3" turbo back exhuast
Pruven fuel rail adapter and regulator
Work's throttle body
Do you mean that would be your list for stage 1 mods? I thought you didn't get the Works t-body until you already had substantial mods..different turbo, etc. I can't see the t-body helping too much on a mildly modded Evo..especially with the stock intake, intake&intercooler piping.

NO - what i mean is this is my stage 1 kit I am recomending to my clients and friends who are looking for a mid 12 sec evo that runs great on pump gas and is not that costly - I personally never had this set up - but after seeing what works and what dosn't work on my car and hundreds others at tracks and at the Pruven dyno - this is what I speced out for a client and man at 325 whp on pump gas - it works well !

You have made some 10sec passes already?

Not on a track - i havn't yet - I have to pick my days carefully as my 1st run these days is usually my last run - I am basically down to only tracks 200 plus miles from my house now

Don't worry though - I will be seeing the track within one week

wasnt tom suggesting a shoot out not a drag race?

intake
MBC
Pads
the rest on suspension and tires.

you'd be close in the drags and win by so much on the street that you'd carry the competion.

LOL i was suggesting that there be something OTHER than drag racing involved..
but the closest Al gets to a road course is the return road from the dragstrip

i doubt any of this will happen but just thought that it was a good idea. most people can fatom spending 3K in mods.

hell i think i had close to 60K into my old Subaru RST before i sold the monster.

Well, EXCUUUSE the little people your assholiness.

Perhaps you should start your own exclusive 500HP Evo Forum.

What...no fun without an audience to brag to?

Tough to be you isn't it big guy? Lonely at the top and all that kind of stuff huh?

Life is not always fair, we all have our burdens to bear, but when I measure my compeditor's burdens by Al's - they acvtually measure like 3 Al's short - isint that odd?

I for one would like to find out just how reliabel some particular Evos really are and testing reliability "a quarter mile at a time", is a joke. Let's get some of these gas gulping rides out to a multitude of venues and see how they perform and stand up.

I've got a better idea

Do it like Monster Garage but with a $5000 cap for parts at MSRP, dyno runs and no freebies.

The Evo Tuners will have 8 days to do everything - first 4 days for installs and any fabrications, 2 days to test and tune and 2 for the testing.

The testing should be done SCC Ultimate Street Car Challenge-style. Give points for clean installs and fabs, fuel economy, 1/4 mile and 0-60 times, 60-0 braking, skidpad, slalom, track times, affordability and liveability.

Then add the points up and whoever gets the most points wins for the best overall performing Evo.

Something I just realized about Monster Garage is that they'd probably buy the raw materials and build their own intake and exhaust systems

So we wouldn't get the goal of seeing how many different ways of spending $3000 on Evo mods would be worthwhile since MG is all about building their own parts when they can and most of us can't do that.

boy oh boy, I would think that you would have better sense than to crack on EVO's doing 12 sec. If you think you're the BEST then why do you need to boast about it. Did you not get enough attention growing up ?. But you know what, you do get alot of attention, you have your groupies that follow you around waiting for that special chance to get a good whif of your rear (you know who you are).
Dude, im not against modding your car, but trashing anyone else who barely makes his payments on their car let alone buying anything and everything available on this planet for the EVO is F@ck*d UP! Maybe we don't have a wallet your size, maybe we dont have CREDIT cards your size. What I do have that's much stronger and bigger than you could ever afford is my humble upbringing. Your car makes mad power, but dont keep putting down the rest of us. If money could be had with ease each and everyone of us could duplicate what you have with more decency to boot.
