Daniel already is pulling the head so we can inspect it. Until David said it first, I hadn't even thought about us being the fastest/quickest Evo9 using Mivec. I know the TurboTrix car is a IX, but I've heard that is doesn't use the Mivec, but is setup as an VIII head. I don't know if that's true, but in any event, there's a reason that this becomes relevent.

The head has been installed and will be completed tomorrow or possibly Thursday. I'm waiting on a few changes to the turbo from Robert at Forced Performance and as soon as I get it, I'll get it installed. This could get real interesting. All I can say is Trent better be growing a set, 'cause he's gonna need them.

Just for reference since I don't mind keeping things quiet but won't post up non-truths about something. Tom's car has a custom turbo on it but it is not an FP unit. My car on the other hand does have a custom FP unit on it

We not only run FP turbos, but we've also tested others. That's why I said that it wasn't going to be revealed in an earlier post. My custom turbo from Robert should have been here before we did our testing, but I'm still waiting for it to arrive. It will be 2 variations to play with and I already know from some previous testing what it should do. I still won't say what and when I'm testing anything. Just like my competition won't tell what they test, neither will I. Some things just have to be kept under wraps. Sorry, but that's just part of the testing and running process.
It's pretty common knowledge that David tests all brands of everything. We've tried to adopt that philosophy to some degree to learn what we like and don't like. On our car, the same turbo that David did real well with, spooled up several hundred rpms later. We would never have known that without testing it for ourselves.
