I would think that is a bad idea. Someone said that Devo makes a 5sp to 6sp adaptor. Maybe check that out.

the sleeve will go over the input shaft, u just have to work it on there. but trust me it goes on. after u put that on with the TOB, u remember that rod that u pulled out from the old cluch fork assembly? slide that back down in and bolt it down, the TOB cannot move now or come off for that matter. the car that i finished has been going around awhile now like this with no issues.

Your obviously getting a twin disk to drag race correct? I'm sure your not just getting the Quarter Master clutch to daily drive cause that wouldn't be smart. Quarter Master clutch is rated for about 10K miles if that and 6 speed trans is already weak as is. The trans won't last to long with that clutch if your gonna race the car alot. I would recommend doing the 5 speed conversion with 5 speed trans and you'll be fine. If its your a customer like you said just give the guy a call and let him know

I am the customer and kind of stuck between a rock and a hard space. Got a stock clutch that's slipping and a QM. I kind of had to make a decision which one goes in, and I chose the QM. Yeah it's a DD, and yeah I have heard they are hard to DD. But I gotta do something and the car can't sit in the shop.

So I made a choice right or wrong, only time will tell I guess.

i have the quartermaster in my car and i have an viii mr
psphinx is talking about my car
its not bad daily driving
only bad thing is it is a bit noisy
i have zero problems with it, you just need to make sure you order a pedal stopper for it
and i talked to quartermaster themselves and they told me the clutch will last 40 - 50k miles daily driving.
they said if im in the city with alot of stop and go more towards 35/40 but im not so they said around 50k
